Many will regard our vision of achieving Universal Service as ambitious. And so it is. But, as Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel rightly pointed out “Only the paranoid survive”! We believe that, if common sense, determination, and a dash of audacity are applied to the issues involved, it can be attained. The technology exists and the economics are promising. Action must be set in hand now.

We therefore look to the government, telecommunication operators, manufacturers, regional and international organizations and all who can contribute to achieving our objective, to give our organization urgent as well as sympathetic consideration.
